V cycle is a social enterprise that offers collection for your plastics, metal, paper, cables, wrapping film and electronic devices. Island life has pledged 5% of profits to V cycle to support the opening of their new sorting facility where they aim to employ 10 cardboard elderlies by December 2022.

Having participated in some beach clean ups last year, we will be working with local organisations such as Take Out Plastic to organise more beach clean ups in 2022. We feel beach clean ups are an effective way to tackle the waste problem as the experiences can create lasting impressions on participants, opening their eyes to how grave waste in HK is.

We believe strongly that education should be the focal point in addressing waste problem in Hong Kong. We will be looking to partake in educational programmes at schools in 2022, including the Harbour School in Ap Lei Chau.
